Poetry Out Loud Winners
The results are in.
After a wonderful competition filled with brave recitations of poems like Dylan Thomas’s “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” or W.D. Ehrhart’s “Beautiful Wreckage,” the judges were hard pressed to determine who had recited their poem with the most grace, emotion, and skill. Congratulations to Marissa, Candice, and AJ for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the second annual Summit Poetry Out Loud Competition. With her recitation of “Domestic Situation” by Ernest Hilbert, Marissa will be moving on to compete in the Alpine School District Poetry Out Loud Competition with Candice as the runner up.
