Happy new school year and happy end of term 1. The school year just started, yet we are already done with our first term. It has been a great start to the school year with half of our school being new students that have never been to Summit. All of the staff at Summit are excited for this school year and hope to build meaningful relationships with every one of our students and create an environment that is safe and welcoming for everyone. Thank you for being an integral part of Summit and our students' lives.

Calendar Items
We are continuing our tradition of after school activities. Mondays are mountain biking, Tuesdays are pickleball and dungeons and dragons, and Thursdays are bowling. These activities are free of charge to all students, but they must fill out a permission form in order to attend. Also, transportation must be arranged for after the activity.
We are also continuing our tradition of taking field trips during the school day. We have taken students fly fishing, to see the salmon run, and to the Built bar factory. These have all been amazing activities that the students are enjoying but also learning something. Many more during school field trips are being scheduled this school year.
This Friday we have tickets to the Utah Royals soccer game. This HLNE activity will be an all female trip that includes dinner, a pregame on field experience and tickets to the game. If your student is invited and can attend we hope you can support them attending this activity.
Monday September 29th is a teacher workday. No students will be in the building that day.
Clear creek is coming up at the beginning of October. We have it reserved for a Junior High day trip on Tuesday September 30th and the High School will take students on an overnight excursion October 1-2.
