Happy end of October and Halloween week! This is also the first full week with our Wednesday digital learning day. This is new for both teachers and students, so please be patient as teachers navigate through this unique day. Remember that students will not be attending in person on Wednesday rather should be doing work digitally at home. Teachers will be providing further instruction for their individual classes.
Congratulations to our student of the week Danee Ross. She was chosen because she understands that education and lifelong learning are the keys to today and the future. She is taking school very seriously and producing high quality work.
Congratulations to our 4.0 students for term 2: Warner Astle, Daniel Ivy, Shyanne Juggert, Gracie Allen, Keyauna Bolander, Madajha Rassmussen-Dinkel, Ambrienne Kynion, Shania Morgan, Destiny Wernz, Asher Davis, Lilana Pliego, Walker Sampson and Diego Sun Bear. They will be taken to lunch this week in celebration of their accomplishments.

Grades are an important aspect to Summit and we appreciate all of our students’ efforts in taking school seriously and achieving such high academic GPA’s. These students represent 27% of the student body at Summit. How exciting that over one-quarter of our student population received the distinction of having a GPA above 3.0.
Micron is in partnership with the Alpine School District, and has offered free computers to families in need of computers for educational purposes at home. There are several hundred computers available. In order to qualify for the computers please follow the following links:

Every year we take students to the Banff film festival at UVU as part of our HLNE program. This year, due to COVID Banff is not holding the festival as it has in the past. They have offered us the ability to purchase the rights to watch the films that are normally screened at UVU and watch them at Summit. We are offering this activity next week, Thursday and Friday November 5-6 from 3pm-5pm. Any students who have an interest can be at Summit during those hours and we will be watching several Banff movies of interest. We will also provide food for the students who come to this activity. Credit will be offered.
